Tesla has just signed a commercial agreement with Panasonic to produce solar panels for Solar City, which will be able to produce more than 1,400 jobs at the facilities in Buffalo, United States.
Although production will begin in the summer of 2017 in the northern hemisphere, about a gigawatt of power will be produced annually in these devices, thus ensuring a long-term partnership between these two brands.
According to The Verge, the initial project will not include the roof of solar panels, since it has not yet entered the process of making it, however it is also considered for the future.
It should be noted that this commercial agreement not only includes Solar City, but also the creation of electric cars and high-capacity electric batteries, among other projects.
